Duravit X Bertrand Lejoly
Bertrand Lejoly (born 1980) grew up in the eastern part of Belgium, at the crossroads between German and French culture. After studying at the École supérieure des arts Saint-Luc in Liège, he gained his first work experience as an industrial designer in Germany.
He then moved to Milan for seven years to collaborate with Matteo Thun. In 2013 he became Head of Product Design with Belgian architect Vincent Van Duysen.
In 2018, Bertrand Lejoly opened his own design studio in Antwerp. For his work he draws on his many years of experience as a designer in architecture and design studios and uses his in-depth knowledge to create products for major brands: furniture, lighting, sanitary and tableware.
Bertrand Lejoly describes his style as "refined simplicity". His objects walk the border between an expressive yet subtle design language. This balance is also reflected in how well your objects fit into the space around them.
He especially likes to play with elements that are recorded in the collective memory to create timeless objects for daily use.
For Duravit, Bertrand Lejoly has designed the new D-Neo series, made up of ceramics, furniture, bathtubs and taps.
