After high school, it was clear to Maxi that college just wasn’t her thing. Instead, as a driven and talented young woman, she decided to look for a hands-on apprenticeship. Just as she was about to try her hand at media design and event management, her quest for the perfect place to kickstart her career ended with an invitation to dive into the world of Duravit: "I happen to have an artistic streak, but at the same time I've always been interested in technology. Here, I can combine both,” she says, sharing her motivations and method in a nutshell.
During the three years of Dual Training, Maxi quickly learned all the ins and outs of creating ever-new sanitary highlights – from developing an initial creative idea and constructing a first visual model, to readying the final product for series production.
Even now as a fully trained Industrial Ceramist specialized in Model Technique, the go-getter jack-of-all-trades won’t just sit back and rest on her laurels: because of how well she did in her apprenticeship, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry offered Maxi a scholarship to boost her abilities in digital CAD and CAM applications.
Of course, the young woman accepted and excelled as expected – much to the delight of our Duravit design team that now has another committed and supportive expert.
Besides, Maxi knows that digitalization is advancing at an ever-increasing pace – and the sanitary industry is no exception.
